- Download any terminal client there are too many on Android Market for free & preferred one is ConnectBot.
- Install it on your phone then run it.
- Now there will be a prompt screen with black background and a blinking cursor at bottom now select “local” as connectbot host from ssh, telnet and local and type your name or any words in text box near to option box as seems in below screenshot.
- If there is a Hash sign (#) before cursor then your Android device is rooted.
- If there is a Dollar sign ($) before cursor then Your Android device is not rooted.
